Covid-19 Our Response

23rd April 2020

Since March, we have implemented new policies and procedures to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy. Their well-being is of utmost importance to us and preventing an outbreak of the virus is our priority at this time.

We continue to restrict all but essential visits to our homes. When we have the go ahead from our local director of public health, we have been able to allow socially distanced garden visits. This is ever changing as the coronavirus rates rise and fall in Birmingham and Sandwell.

We are taking all reports of Covid-19 symptoms or exposure to symptoms seriously and staff are being isolated/quarantined and must return a negative test result before returning to work. All staff are working at their allocated homes to reduce the risk of exposure and to prevent anyone from carrying the virus between homes. Please be assured that there are no issues with staff cover during these times. We prepared well in advance for the possibility of staff shortages due to Covid-19.

In line with more recent government guidelines, we have also been testing the residents and staff for Covid-19 on a regular basis (monthly-weekly).

We are still using phone and video calls to keep the residents in contact with their relatives. If you would like to arrange a time to call, please contact the home Manager to do so.

Thank you for your support during these unnerving times, please be reassured that we continue to update our approach to the pandemic in line with the Government and Public Health guidelines. If you do have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch via the Contact Us page on our website.
