Every family business has its stories—the triumphs, the trials, and the secret family recipes for success (sometimes literally!). For us, the story today is about change—not the scary kind, but the exciting kind.
After years of steering the ship with unwavering dedication, care, and positivity, our director, Ms. Janet Wyatt, has decided it’s time to step back and allow a new generation to take the helm.

We are thrilled to announce that Katie, James, and Charlotte are officially stepping into leadership roles within the organization. They bring fresh perspectives, energy, and a shared commitment to our company’s values, ready to guide the business with the same integrity and care that Janet exemplified.

JW Care organized a lovely short break to Ross-on-Wye for its residents. Residents enjoyed the beautiful market town, nestled along the scenic River Wye in Herefordshire.

It was the perfect blend of relaxation and simple joys: hearty breakfasts, quiet moments at church, fun game nights, and dinners filled with laughter.

A refreshing countryside break that left us recharged, grateful, and already planning the next visit.

Today, 21 September 2025, marks World Alzheimer’s Day—a time to raise awareness of dementia and to keep conversations about care open and honest.
At JW Care, we believe the best care begins with empathy, understanding, and dignity. That’s why our Head of Service, Katie, attended the launch of the World Alzheimer’s Report 2025, connecting with other professionals and bringing back insights that will strengthen how we support both residents and families.
A key theme in this year’s report is the importance of rehabilitation—and it’s something we’re passionate about. At JW Care, we promote rehabilitation in every home, helping residents stay active, connected, and goal-focused. Through our strategic partnership with Wigwam Wellbeing, activities are designed around individual needs, creating a true sense of purpose and belonging while improving quality of life.
We also make sure information is accessible. Leaflets and resources are available across our homes so families, friends, and staff feel supported and informed in understanding dementia.
World Alzheimer’s Day isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action, compassion, and progress. And at JW Care, we’re proud to be part of that journey.
