We are pleased to introduce Faizan Muzaffar, who is joining JW Care as the new manager supporting both Karenza and The Beeches.

Faizan is a dedicated health and social care professional with extensive experience across a range of residential care settings. Over the years, he has progressed from frontline roles into senior leadership positions, developing strong expertise in staff leadership, safeguarding, care planning, medication management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.

Faizan is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and believes that strong, visible leadership and a positive team culture are essential to achieving this. His approach focuses on leading by example, supporting staff development, and ensuring residents receive care that is safe, respectful, and tailored to their individual needs.

He is excited to join JW Care and is committed to building confident teams, strengthening professional standards, and supporting both services to continue delivering compassionate, high-quality care where residents feel valued and secure.

"Strong leadership creates strong teams — and strong teams create safe, respectful, and meaningful lives for the people we support." - Faizan

JW Care organized a lovely short break to Ross-on-Wye for its residents. Residents enjoyed the beautiful market town, nestled along the scenic River Wye in Herefordshire.

It was the perfect blend of relaxation and simple joys: hearty breakfasts, quiet moments at church, fun game nights, and dinners filled with laughter.

A refreshing countryside break that left us recharged, grateful, and already planning the next visit.

Residents and staff from JW Care Group recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Spain, soaking up the sunshine and making lasting memories together.

It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to relax, explore, and share some laughter in a beautiful setting. From strolls along the beach to quiet moments over coffee, the smiles say it all!

A big thank you to our amazing team for making the trip possible and for ensuring everyone had such a great time.

Today, 21 September 2025, marks World Alzheimer’s Day—a time to raise awareness of dementia and to keep conversations about care open and honest.

At JW Care, we believe the best care begins with empathy, understanding, and dignity. That’s why our Head of Service, Katie, attended the launch of the World Alzheimer’s Report 2025, connecting with other professionals and bringing back insights that will strengthen how we support both residents and families.

A key theme in this year’s report is the importance of rehabilitation—and it’s something we’re passionate about. At JW Care, we promote rehabilitation in every home, helping residents stay active, connected, and goal-focused. Through our strategic partnership with Wigwam Wellbeing, activities are designed around individual needs, creating a true sense of purpose and belonging while improving quality of life.

We also make sure information is accessible. Leaflets and resources are available across our homes so families, friends, and staff feel supported and informed in understanding dementia.

World Alzheimer’s Day isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action, compassion, and progress. And at JW Care, we’re proud to be part of that journey.

At JWcare Group, we believe that strong partnerships are at the heart of quality care. This year, we are proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone—10 years of partnership with Excellence Healthcare.

Since 2015, Excellence Healthcare has been a trusted and dedicated supplier of highly trained care staff to JWcare Group. Over the past decade, their team has consistently provided compassionate, professional, and skilled individuals who have helped us deliver outstanding care across all our services.

This partnership has grown from strength to strength, built on mutual respect, shared values, and a commitment to improving the lives of those we care for. Excellence Healthcare has played an integral role in our ability to maintain high standards, respond to growing demand, and ensure continuity of care across our facilities.

“Reaching 10 years of collaboration is a testament to the loyalty, trust, and teamwork we’ve shared,” Janet

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire team at Excellence Healthcare for their ongoing dedication and support. Here’s to the past 10 years—and to many more years of working together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

From 29th March to 2nd April, a group of our residents and staff from JW Care enjoyed a fantastic holiday in the charming town of Ross-on-Wye – and it was a truly memorable experience!

We stayed at the lovely Marton House, which provided a warm, comfortable, and scenic setting for our break. The peaceful surroundings and welcoming atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax and recharge.

From nature walks to shared meals and lots of laughter, the trip was not only fun but also a great boost to everyone’s wellbeing. A big thank you to our amazing team for making it all possible!

We’re already looking forward to planning the next adventure!

We’re incredibly proud to share that Katie, the dedicated manager of both The Beeches and Karenza Care Home and also the Head of service for JWcare Group, will be running the London Marathon 2025 to raise vital funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The London Marathon is one of the world’s most iconic long-distance races, drawing tens of thousands of runners each year who take on the 26.2-mile challenge through the heart of the capital. For Katie, this is more than just a physical challenge – it’s a personal mission to support individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

By taking part in this monumental event, Katie is not only raising awareness about the impact of dementia but also helping to fund research, support services, and advocacy through the Alzheimer’s Society – a charity that works tirelessly to ensure that no one faces dementia alone.

We’re hoping to raise as much money as possible to support her efforts and contribute to this meaningful cause. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and brings us one step closer to a world without dementia.

Let’s cheer Katie on every step of the way!

On December 19th, Southside Carehome hosted a heartwarming Christmas celebration for the Holly House and Southside residents. The festive event featured live music, exciting games, and delicious refreshments that brought smiles and laughter to everyone.

A huge shout-out to the incredible staff and the relatives who joined us—your participation made the day truly special. Together, we created cherished memories that will last well into the New Year.

Thank you all for spreading holiday cheer!
